Building Hope Since 1991

Building Hope Since 1991
Northwest Coastal Housing was established and incorporated in May 1991, originally as the Community Development Corporation of Lincoln County. For over three decades, we've been a steadfast advocate for affordable housing along Oregon's coast, evolving and growing to meet the changing needs of our communities.
What began as a community development corporation has grown into a comprehensive housing and community development organization, serving thousands of individuals and families throughout Lincoln County and beyond. Our commitment has remained constant: to provide affordable, safe, decent, and stable housing with compassion and integrity.
Our Mission
To provide affordable, safe, decent, and stable housing with compassion and integrity
Our Vision
A future where every Oregon coast resident has the chance to live with dignity and safety in a home they can afford.
Core Values

We approach every interaction with empathy, understanding, and genuine care for those we serve.

Integrity
We operate with transparency, honesty, and ethical practices in all our housing solutions.

Stability
We create lasting housing solutions that provide security and peace of mind for residents and families.

Excellence
We maintain high standards in our housing quality, resident services, and organizational operations.
Our Approach
Rooted In Community
At Northwest Coastal Housing, we believe that effective housing solutions must be rooted in community. We listen first, learning from residents, neighbors, and local partners to understand the unique needs and challenges facing Lincoln County families. Our approach goes beyond simply providing four walls and a roof - we create comprehensive pathways to stability that address the underlying factors affecting housing security.

Our Comprehensive Model
We focus on development by creating affordable housing that serves diverse income levels and family types. We emphasize management through operating properties with resident-centered approaches that build community. We provide services through wraparound support that addresses barriers to housing stability. We engage in advocacy by working to influence policies and systems that impact housing access.

Steady, Positive Impact
Over our 30+-year history, Northwest Coastal Housing has developed and managed hundreds of affordable housing units, provided emergency housing to thousands of individuals and families, delivered comprehensive support services to residents and community members, advocated for policies that advance housing access and affordability, and built partnerships across sectors to strengthen our communities.
